Pamela L. Draper

PRESIDENT & CEO

Prior to joining Bitvo, Pamela Draper spent almost 14 years in investment and corporate banking at top-tier Canadian banks. In various roles, she focused on raising capital for North American growth-oriented companies across industry sectors. She holds an HBA from the Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario.
Nolan Ritzel

General Counsel

Nolan Ritzel is the General Counsel of Bitvo Inc., a Cryptocurrency Exchange launched in Canada in 2018. Nolan is also the General Counsel of DirectCash Bank, a Schedule I Canadian chartered bank founded in 2007 that provides diverse financial and payment solutions to individuals and businesses across Canada. Prior to joining each of the teams at Bitvo and DC Bank, Nolan developed his own legal practice in Calgary over the course of approximately 7 years in the financial services and commercial real estate groups of Canada’s largest national law firm. During his time in private practice, Nolan acted for both borrowers and lenders on a variety of complex matters including those involving multi-jurisdictional lending and syndicated loans, real estate acquisitions, and construction financings across a number of industry sectors including healthcare, retail, commercial, hotel and leisure. Nolan’s experience in financial services and in helping his clients navigate through a wide variety of legal matters gives him unique insights into various aspects of the cryptocurrency market that he is eager to bring to the Bitvo team.
Brenda L. Krause

Vice President, Finance

Brenda Krause is a CPA,CMA with over 20 years of experience providing strategic, financial, and operational leadership to global and domestic companies. Ms. Krause brings considerable experience in scaling up organizations, streamlining business processes , internal controls, system implementations, and workforce planning. She is also adept in identifying opportunities, managing risks, and problem solving.
Andrei Novikov

Vice President, Cryptocurrency Sales and Trading

Andrei Novikov has over 10 years of sales and trading experience in foreign exchange, bonds, equities and derivatives. Andrei holds a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
Kenny Cheung, CFA

Vice President, Cryptocurrency Sales and Trading

Prior to joining Bitvo, Kenny Cheung spent over 13 years in trading (cryptocurrencies, fixed income, equities), investment banking and equity research. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto and has completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program.
Beryl-Ann S. Shillingford

PRODUCT MANAGER

Beryl-Ann Shillingford has 15 years’ experience in Program Management in the payments field. Prior to her current role at Bitvo, she was the Operational Accounting Manager in the Prepaid Division for DirectCash Payments Inc., a publicly traded financial services company. She has been responsible for project management and client implementation of innovative solutions for business, focusing on efficiency and service.

Jeffrey J. Smith

Jeffrey Smith has more than 30 years’ experience operating, financing, growing and managing large-scale international financial services businesses. He is a co-founder of DC Bank, as well as the President and CEO. From 1997 to 2017 Mr. Smith was the President and CEO and largest shareholder of DirectCash Payments Inc., a publicly traded international financial services company.

Amanda J. Showalter

Prior to her current role as Chief Operating Officer at DC Bank, she served as Vice President, Corporate Strategy & Acquisitions for DirectCash Payments Inc., a publicly traded financial services business. Ms. Showalter has 15 years’ experience in international operations, business valuation, corporate finance, financial management and investor relations. Amanda Showalter holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Masters of Business Administration in Finance.

Gary H. Dundas

Gary Dundas was most recently Director and CFO of Canadian International Oil Corporation and prior to that was CFO with Avenex Energy Corp. and Maxx Petroleum. Mr. Dundas has served as a Director on a number of public and private company boards over the past 16 years. He has obtained Bachelor of Commerce and MBA degrees from the University of Calgary and is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CMA.

R. Bradley Hurtubise

Brad Hurtubise was an investment banker and energy executive and has over two decades of experience in Director roles at publicly traded energy, technology and financial services companies, and was Director at DirectCash Payments Inc. from 2007 to 2017. Mr. Hurtubise holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary, an MBA from the Schulich School of Business in Toronto, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst® charterholder.

Susan M. Anderson

Susan Anderson is the President and CEO of Cannonball Capital Inc., which invests in venture companies, private and public equities, and commercial real estate. She is a G7 Fellow at Creative Destruction Lab (Rockies). She is a co-founder of DC Bank. Ms. Anderson earned a degree in Commerce from the University of Calgary, and a Law degree from the University of Alberta.
